Goodnight Mr Tom is a wonderful book to read. Thank you for posting a review. Following the growing relationship between Mr Tom and William Beech makes for some upsetting episodes in the story, but the book tackles these with great sensitivity. If you haven’t had a chance to read this yet, it is well worth having a go as it also gives a good insight into evacuation during WW2.
I absolutely love this book, I read it a while ago and it was such a touching story about a poor evacuee boy going to live with a horrible old man!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL DONE DOLPHIN9!!!!!

We read it in guided reading last year and I loved it.

The ‘horrible old man’ isn’t that bad!
I really enjoyed reading it last year it also helps you understand the life of an evacuee in the WW2.
I wish that I could read that book.
