Oxford Owl online books

Oxford Owl

You can read a range of books online via the Oxford Owl link (in our Resources tab or online directly here). The books are sorted by age groups and go up to aged 9-11. There is not a huge range of books for your age group, but there may be some that you like (including some for other age groups) and they are FREE to read! All you need to do is enter a class name (username) and password. I have sent this to you all via e-mail, which you should be able to open in your We-learn accounts.

We’ll check on Monday that this makes sense to you!

Netball

Netball starts on Monday 21st September (3:30-4:10). Letters with details have come home today for those who played in Y5, but everyone is welcome. If you didn’t get a letter, let me know and, if you are allowed to, come along anyway (bringing a note from your family to say it is ok.)

Maths homework for 22.9.15

You should all have your own sheet of 10 questions to help you practise using your known number facts to multiply decimals and larger numbers. Remember to show your working out.

If you get stuck, write down what you think to try to show me where you are puzzled.

Don’t spend more than half an hour on this homework. If you are stuck at that point, stop and tell me.

HAVE A GO!

Cross Country

Remember the first cross country event is at Southam College on September 26th (9:45). Let’s field a really big team if we can! Every runner can win us points and you’ll feel really proud of yourself if you have a go at this inter-school event!

Some examples of important eSafety messages from Year 6

We have been doing a bit of practising learning j2e and reminding ourselves about eSafety messages. Here are some of the things we have created in just our first lesson of experimenting. Well done! We are going to be pretty ‘whizzy’ by the end of the year at this rate! Things will gradually get loaded without names to protect you all, but you’ll recognise your own work!
